Being an "I'll just watch" kind of a mom...

Being a teacher, I am blessed to be able to spend the summers with my kids. We have always liked to go to the park, ride bike and play in the yard. But last summer I began to notice that more and more often, when my kids asked me to play, my answer would be, "I'll just watch." At the end of the summer Max asked me why I never played with them any more. I hadn't even noticed that I had become a "Sideline Spectator" in my children's lives, until he pointed it out to me.

The pounds had kind of sneaked up on me over the past 6 months and I was at the highest non-pregnancy weight of my life. I have always been an active person; I love playing sports and being outside. But with the additional weight, my back hurt, my knees creaked, and it was easier to just sit and read or watch the kids.
This was not the life I wanted for myself or my family. I want to be involved with my kids and healthy to pursue the plans God has for me. I knew it was time to do something. So, I began exercising. I started to roller-blade 3 miles everyday and then bike at least 4 miles each evening. There is a big hill by our house, so I used it as my challenge hill. I rode my bike in a path so that I always had to go up the big hill. At the end of 2 months, my weight had not changed. I was extremely frustrated and confused. In the past, exercise had always been the answer to any weight issue. However, now being over 40, my body reacted differently and my metabolism was seemingly non-functional.

Then a friend of ours introduced me to Cleansing. I was quite skeptical at first because my mind said eat healthy and exercise and the weight will eventually come off. But after researching and reading about the company, I decided to try a Cleanse. Wow, am I glad I did! This weight loss opened the door for me to be able to exercise better and feel better. I had more energy and vigor for life. I continued to take other products and add clean eating to my life.

Eating clean and adding the Beyond Organic products has helped me to be healthier, more energized, and have changed my eating habits (I no longer crave Baked Lays potato chips--which were my treat of choice).

I am so glad that I took a chance on the cleansing system. I am no longer an, "I'll just watch Mom", or a  "Sideline Spectator", but a mom who can play and run with my kids, as we make memories together.

"I don't know about you, but I'm running hard for the finish line. I'm giving it everything I've got. No sloppy living for me! I'm staying alert and in top condition. I'm not going to get caught napping, telling everyone else all about it and then missing out myself."           1 Cor. 9: 26-27 (MSG)
